Spektr-RG

Spektr-RG launched into space on July 13th, 2019 and is now unknown km from Earth. Its primary destination is the Sun-Earth L2 point, which it arrived at on October 21st, 2019 . Wherever Spektr-RG goes, it carries its trusty high-energy x-ray telescope and x-ray telescope. Spektr-RG often chats with humans from Roscosmos and ESA.

Spektr-RG is an astrophysical observatory space probe equipped with two x-ray telescopes aimed at creating an all-sky map of the universe. Additionally, Spektr-RG will be investigating an estimated 100,000 galaxy clusters and three million supermassive black holes. By studying the large structures of galaxies that cluster together, the space probe is expected to improve our understanding of dark matter and dark energy. Spektr-RG has been a space probe decades in the making after first being proposed in the late 1980s.
